Solving world hunger one grain at a time!

Recently the International Food Policy Research Institute showcased the Global Food Policy Report of 2012. They brought up an issue about how the World Bank, UN, and FAO have set out commitments to food security and sustainability but have not yet taken actions. A goal for the IFPRI is to actually halving the population of hungry and poor by 2015. In IFPRI’s Food Policy report they show ways that actions can be made now to reach that goal “They include increasing research and development in agricultural productivity, providing better genetic inputs in grain and food production, creating an enabling environment for farmers to adopt new technology, and finding the links between agriculture, nutrition, and health, and between food, energy, and land.” As you can see in the link provided above the Report shows how we can “Walk the Talk” there are sections about agricultural productivity, green economy, women in…
